Sustainability
Environmental Stewardship
Our commitment to the Poonakary coastline and the Jaffna Lagoon is unwavering. What we take from the water, we must respect.
Mangrove Protection
Our farm boundaries strictly respect and integrate with local mangrove ecosystems, which act as natural water filters and crab breeding grounds.
Mangroves are the lungs of the lagoon. We protect a 200m buffer zone around all natural mangrove stands adjacent to our farm perimeter.
Zero-Harm Discharge
All wastewater passes through bio-filtration and settlement ponds before being safely returned to the lagoon.
Our 3-stage treatment system — settlement, biological filtration, and UV sterilization — ensures discharge water is cleaner than intake.
Community First
We ensure our water intake and infrastructure do not disrupt traditional artisanal fishing routes in the lagoon used by locals.
Regular community consultations and shared access agreements ensure coexistence between modern aquaculture and traditional livelihoods.
